Hey everybody! Happy Holidays!

This Wednesday December 19 at 2pm PT/5pm ET, I will be hosting a LIVE VIDEO chat with the always Enchanting, Guy Kawasaki who just published a new book about publishing books. It’s called APE: Author, Publisher, Entrepreneur–How to Publish a Book. We will be doing the weberview on my Google Plus/#CMchat hybrid show #Twangout. It’s basically a Twitter Chat on the bottom of a Youtube video. It’s called Google Plus Hangout technology or “Hangout on Air” (they are pretty trick, and I owe you a whole other blog post about them!)  You will be able to watch the LIVE STREAM and interact with both Guy, Gwen Sebastian and myself.  I will also be giving a few people a chance to join us in on the Twangout.  LET ME KNOW if you’re interested!

Guy has a new book out and I can’t wait to hear about his overall experience about how to publish a book. It’s a question people ask me all the time. So this will be great learning for all of us and I am reading his book right now. If you pick up you can ask him about it!

From Guy Kawasaki regarding his new book, APE: Author, Publisher, Entrepreneur–How to Publish a Book

“After the launch of Enchantment, the publisher could not fill an order for 500 ebook copies of the book. Because of this experience, I self-published my next book, What the Plus!, and learned first-hand that self-publishing is a complex, confusing, and idiosyncratic process. As Steve Jobs said, “There must be a better way.”

With Shawn Welch, a tech wizard, I wrote APE: Author, Publisher, Entrepreneur–How to Publish a Book to help people take control of their writing careers. APE’s thesis is powerful yet simple: filling the roles of Author, Publisher and Entrepreneur yields results that rival traditional publishing. We call this “artisanal publishing”–that is, when writers who love their craft control the publishing process and produce high-quality books.”

Amazon just started selling APE (and only for ninety days) at:

It would be great if you could post a review once it’s available to help Guy increase the likelihood that the early reviews are positive. This assumes, of course, that you’ve had a chance to read APE and that you like it!

If you are unfamiliar with Guy Kawasaki, I can’t wait for you to meet him! Anyone who reads my blog regularly, or has ever heard me speak, I quote, refer and gush over him all the time.
