For The Love Of Country (and Twitter)

#CMchat was just an idea that spawned from a love of Country Music and Twitter during a conversation with #BlogChat champion Mack Collier over 4 months ago. Gardened and pruned by Social Media Manners Hostess Dabney Porte, Click2Cause’s Tobey Deys, Chat Enthusiast Peggy Fitzpatrick, Comedian & On-Air Personality-WSIX Andie Lynne, Country Music Singer Charlotte Autry, Teen Singing Sensation Mary Sarah, SheOwnsIt’s Melissa Stewart, GeekBabe Jean Parks, #USguys Stephen Caggiano and probably someone I am leaving out (will eat crow later), the chat has become one of the most popular on Twitter; according to hashtag tracking service Hashtracking.com it generates an average of 25 Million impressions each week growing to 65 Million per week the two weeks prior to the Oak Ridge Boys appearance and peaking with over 84 Million while the OAKs tweeted from their Tour Bus outside the historic Ryman Auditorium in Nashville last Monday.

#CMchat Road Show is Born

About a month ago, Media and Marketing Guru Amy Howell the owner and namesake of Howell Marketing approached me with a novel idea, “Lets do a LIVE #CMchat from Tennessee at one of my clients locations [Swanky's Taco Shop]” DONE…and I didn’t have to think twice about that request! Hanging out with Amy, going to Tennessee, seeing my friends, talking Country Music, all while eating Tacos; can you say WINNING?!?!

One of my real life best friend from California Sara Moench mentioned she was making a trip to Nashville and changed her flight to be there for the LIVE chat. A conversation with Sears fitness blogger Joyce Cherrier led to a plane ticket within an hour. News got around and attracted Virginia Musician and SoicalYo Founder Lewis Poretz , Vancouver BC On-Air Personality Dave Reyolds, Knoxville Author “Tao of Twitter” and Social Media icon Mark Schaefer rounded out a pretty powerful guest list.

OH By The Way, Did I Tell You Were Making a Country Music Video

For nearly a year now I have working with Canadian County Music Singer/Songwriter Craig Moritz  and Publicist Natalie Harper on a video idea for his Social Media song Stage Five Clinger. We wrote a treatment with Videographer Mark Nicolosi and will be filming video on location with some of Nashville and Social Media’s biggest names.
