High 5 Friday: 5 Reasons to Follow #High5

Welcome to High 5 Friday! A day and time to introduce you to some NEW and NOT MET YET friends!! I have never really been a huge fan of “Follow Friday” and how it consumes the stream with the WHO and not the WHY so here is a way to meet new people to follow and find out a little bit about them.
Whenever I am asked what is the “secret of my success” on Twitter, if you want to indulge that I might be successful at tweeting and whatever that means, I always say, “I follow people I think are interesting, I am interested in people and I try to be interesting.”
Do you need to be over the top to be interesting?
not necessarily. Some people just have that certain ‘je ne sais quoi’,” they stand out, and are unlike any other.
Gellar Media International identifies the most “Powerful Communication Principles” as:
- Tell The Truth
- Make It Matter
- Never Be Boring
What’s in a ‘Secret Sauce’ that makes you just want more?
It’s hard to put my “Finger Candy” on it. Could it be industry knowledge related, charisma, charm, writing skills, comedic abilities, self-deprecating quips, visualization, apt for storytelling, spin on current event, articulation, quotes you retweet that show what’s on your mind, aggregated info, engagement factor, well read, skill set, enthusiasm they have for life, interaction with others?
One thing is certain who you follow says as much about you, as you say for yourself.
In talking to all these people it was tough for them to pick just one but it in no way means they don’t care about all the other people they follow!! ENJOY getting to know these people and please leave your favorite follows in the comments!

Diana Adams recommends Hillel Fuld
1. Hillel is a tech superhero. Really. I mean, he knows the real deal scoop on every model smartphone, every app, and ever new technology that is either our or about to come out. Ok, maybe not every single one, but almost!! He’s a fantastic resource for that kind of stuff. He’s been a guest writer on Mashable and several other high profile sites.2. He understands Twitter inside and out. He’s a true Twitter friend to many people, and he’s just an all around good guy.
3. He specializes in mobile apps and mobile marketing, which is hot right now. He’s my go-to guy for that kind of stuff. You can learn a lot just from watching his timeline!
4. He’s a power tweeter who is very active. He’s definitely part of the gang, and he loves and respects his tweeps.
5. If I made a list of “must follows” for new people on Twitter, I would put Hillel on it. He’s just the whole package really, and a great example of someone who tweets the perfect combination of valuable links, retweets and personal tweets.
Hillel and I are in a contest to see who can send 100,000 tweets first. He’s sent over 72,000 and I’ve sent over 82,000. He says all he needs is to live tweet from an Apple event or something and he’ll catch up. Whatever Hillel, I got you beat! Prepare for defeat buddy! LOL
