Must Tweet Monday: ACM Awards
This will be the regular ol’ Must Tweet Monday. There were a lot of great things coming out of Las Vegas and the Academy of Country Music Awards on Sunday night, and we’ll for sure take a look at those in a special ACM edition of Must Tweet Monday. But for now, let’s just take a look at a few of the things that were tweeted out this week!
@blainelarsen Blaine Larsen
Justin Beiber ad Rascal Flatts doing a duet? On CMT. Lord, please help us!
Thank you Blaine for saying it! Now I’m not a big pop music fan, but as far as I can tell, Justin Bieber is the devil. He’s got hordes of loyal followers and he’s Canadian. If that doesn’t spell evil there, I don’t know what does. Anywho… I think a Rascal Flatts and Bieber duet was bound to happen, the kid sounds just like the guys in RF. Honestly, I couldn’t tell the difference…
Rascal Flatts isn’t the only country act that’s into the Biebs though:
@BradPaisley Brad Paisley
My producer, Frank Rogers, has got that ole’ Bieber Fever. http://plixi.com/p/87898014
My goodness Frank, couldn’t ya at least find a shirt that fit?! ha! It could be worse, at least Frank’s not sporting a mullet.
Speaking of mullets, I’m sure Ashton Shepherd saw her fair share growing up on Coffeeville, Alabama. Looks like she’s spreading her wings and seeing new sights though!
@AshtonShepherd Ashton Shepherd
Me and roland enjoying west palm beach. Vegas tomorrow! http://t.co/J3PoWuo
From Alabama to Palm Beach to Vegas. Good times Ashton! I’ve always been a fan of her music and love that she’s got that real thick southern accent. She’s not putting it on, she is who she is, and I LOVE that! I wish her nothing but continued success and can almost guarantee she won’t collaborate with Bieber (I pray not at least.)
And to wrap things up, how about one last tweet from a guy getting together to write a song with a legend?
@TheJoshThompson Josh Thompson
Still can’t believe I wrote with Bobby Bare! The song is great and the stories were priceless.
I love it when these up and comers partner with a legend to make great new music. Bobby Bare’s a guy I grew up listening to and is best known for his hit “Marie Laveau.” Bobby’s penned a lot of great tunes, but is mostly remembered for that one campy novelty tune. Could he and Josh have written a much anticipated follow up Creole voodoo lady? My best guess is, no, but I am anxious to see what these two cooked up together!
That’s all I’ve got time for now as I am getting ready to go through the tweets from the ACM Awards and see what little gems can be found in there! Until next time (or just a few minutes if I can sift through these fast enough) keep on tweetin’ on!
