I am a 22year old Marketing Student from Malaysia and a blogger at AskAaronLee.com. One of my passions is sharing what I learn and social media helps me to do that easily.

Where are you answering these questions from?
In my University Dorm (single room woot!)

What are you wearing?
So embarrassed to say this… Only my boxers… hey it’s hot in Malaysia.

How did you get started in Social Media?
I started off using Friendster and Hi5 in 2004. Then facebook came and I started using it. Didn’t really like it at first because it was complicated and slow, found twitter and loved it ever since. Then I followed Mashable because he had like 500,000 followers then. Ashton and CNN were rushing to get 1 million followers at that time. So yeah! Mashable was the blog I read that got me started reading more bout social media. Before that I had a coffee blogspot blog LoL.

What are 3 items you CAN NOT live without?
-my desktop!! (I have a 20 inch monitor)
-mobile (who can live without their mobile?
-twitter (is this an item?)

Favorite item of clothing/jewelry/accessory? Why?
-I don’t really buy clothes but I am lucky to have friends giving me clothes as presents. So my answer to that would be a birthday shirt from my girlfriend.

Have you ever been in a fight?
Yeap! It didn’t go well.

What is the first thing you think of when you wake up in the morning?
What day is today? Do I have class? Then I check my mobile to see if there are miss calls or messages.

What kind(s) of car do you drive?
Parent’s car J

Is there anything that you regret?
Yes, I didn’t visit my brother when he was in the hospital when I was 14. He had brain tumor and passed away the following year on the 14th of February.

What are your fondest childhood memories? In your house? In your neighborhood or town?
Running around the house and being a naughty little boy with @lxlee (my twin brother). We always fight and one time I threw a pad lock and it hit @lxlee head…

What current event has your eyes and ears? And what are you doing about it?
I’ll say Charity water has brought a lot of awareness to me. I always ask myself what I can do to help. @Alyssa_Milano did a great job to raise awareness. I’m touched by what she is doing and what other celebrities are doing with it.

How do you use Social Media in your industry for productivity?
My industry now is being a student, so basically connecting with all the great people on twitter is something I see beneficial and productive.

What is your favorite website?
Besides Finger Candy Media? I’ll say that would be Social Media Examiner

If you had a Super Power what would it be?
I’ll love speed. So that I can get more things done and concentrate on things that I really care about.

Which famous people do you admire? Why?
@Alyssa_Milano because of her kind soul in helping to raise awareness for charity. I used to watch her on Double Dragons the movie, then Charm. Today I am her little friend on twitter. Love her to bits. She’s is a down to earth person.

What is your favorite movie? Why
Pursuit to Happyness by Will Smith. Love the movie. It reminds me that hard works pays off and never gives up.

Favorite snack? Why?
Not really a snack person LoL.

How do you balance your work with other obligations – mate, children, hobbies?
I have a “to-do” journal where I bring them around. I make sure to get half of them done asap so that I can spend time with my mate. I also call my mom once a week and spend 1 hour to 1 hour and 30 minutes talking to her and telling her everything that goes on with me. The other day I had a blog post with the title “Mum, I am influential on twitter” and when I called her, she asked me “What did you want to tell me on your blog?”

Do you get nervous about anything?
Presentation! LoL! I always get nervous at them. Public speaking frightens me.

If you could meet anyone in the world dead or alive who would it be, and what would say to them?
My elder brother. I’ll hugged him and tell him that I miss him and I love him so much. Something I didn’t get to say before he passed away.

What is your hobby or do you collect anything? Why?
I love to swim. Was a state water polo player back in the days. I put on weight now though.

What chore to you hate? Why?
Cleaning! I have a slight nose allergy to dusk and whenever I clean my room, I’ll sneeze and get flu for a week!

Do you have an animal/s? What kind/s? Names?
Yes! I have a Pomeranian and Shih Tzu mixed puppy. She’s 6 years old now though. She’s part of my family. Her given name was Puffy then mom called names like “darling or sweetie or GIRL!” so she responded to Girl now. So her name became Girl Girl.

Fruits or Vegetables?
Fruits! I love honey dews.

Mac or PC?
PC for me. Maybe I’ll go MAC next time.

Ginger or Mary Ann? Which do you prefer?
I’ll go with Mary Anne if I was to order… wait.. They are not drinks?

Salt.

Craziest thing you have ever done?
I remember when I was young like 13 or 14. A lady asked us if we can get chickens for her because she sells Chicken Rice (must eat food in Asia) for a living. She told us we can get it from a nearby area. So we went there, found some chickens and STOLE it. We were chased by the people there on motorbikes while we were on bicycles! We manage to get away and the lady got her chicken. Did we get paid for it? I can’t remember! LoL.
