Tucson Singer/SongWriter LeeAnne Savage to perform at the 2010 KIIM-FM Freedom Festival, July 3rd at TEP Ballpark

LeeAnne Savage will be featured as the opening act at the 2010 KIIM-FM Freedom Festival at Tucson Electric Park on Saturday, July 3rd. LeeAnne and her newly formed, “The Hard to Handle Band”, will hit the stage at 4:30pm with original songs that resemble LeeAnne’s history with country music and background in rock ‘n roll.

The 2010 Freedom Fest outdoor concert also includes Blaine Larsen, Troy Olsen and Clay Walker, and a fireworks show immediately following the last performance.

Born in Missouri and raised in small town Illinois, LeeAnne’s introduction to music came from her mother’s old records and 8-track tapes. Growing up, LeeAnne listened to gospel music, old time rock ‘n roll, as well as the sounds of the Loretta Lynn, Ronnie Milsap, Tammy Wynette and Barbara Mandrell. While she still loves gospel and rock ‘n roll, it was the story lines of country music that stole LeeAnne’s heart. And over the last five years, LeeAnne has gone back to her country roots, developing herself as a songwriter, by drawing on personal experiences in which the listener can relate.

If you were in Tucson during the late 1990’s and/or early 2000’s, there’s a good chance you’ve seen LeeAnne perform, or at the very least, heard her name around the Old Pueblo.
During those years, LeeAnne was named Musician of the Year, Entertainer of the Year, Female Vocalist of the Year and her band also won Best Pop Band and Best Cover Band awards. In 2005, she decided to forego the live music scene to focus on songwriting. Now she’s bringing those songs to life by performing once again.

From the moment LeeAnne hits the stage, the crowd is engaged. You are treated to this entertainer’s unstoppable enthusiasm, her songs that feature true-to-life lyrics, and a show that ROCKS! The July 3rd performance promises to be a memorable one, which will include originaland perhaps a celebrity cameo…or two!

LeeAnne has recently recorded ten songs at Beaird Studios in Nashville, TN, featuring “A” list studio players such as Eddie Bayers, JT Corenflos, Michael Rojas (ACM Musician Of The Yearmusic and two covers (Loretta Lynn and John Mellencamp), as well as audience participation  2010), Dan Dugmore and Russ Paul. “It’s Your Choice”, her upcoming CD, will be released in fall 2010. The first single comes out soon!
